On the occasion of the Greek National Holiday on Tuesday 25 March 2014, entry will be free for all visitors at the Acropolis Museum from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and the Museum will celebrate with gallery talks about the Parthenon.
The Parthenon is an exceptional monument of world cultural heritage that has preoccupied both previous and current viewers. Visitors will have the opportunity to discuss with Archaeologist-Hosts issues relating to the architecture, the decoration and the exhibition of this famous monument, as well as its symbolism and history.
Gallery Talks in Greek will take place at 12 noon and at 1 p.m., talks in English will take place at 11 a.m. and in French respectively at 11 a.m. Participation is limited to 30 visitors per session on a first-in first-served basis (duration: 50 minutes).
On the same day, the Museum restaurant will serve a ‘Greek Traditional Meal’.
